Helping the Rural Villagers in Laos

Helping the Rural Villagers in Laos

It is no longer a secret that Laos, the most heavily bombed country in the world, was devastated during the Vietnam War.  Still a long way from recovery, Canadian Rotarians are reaching out to provide financial and logistical support for new water sources, schools, school supplies and student sponsorship, toilets, hygiene courses, and water filtration systems to the rural villagers.  In addition, Rotary provides bicycles to rural children as an enabler to attend distant schools.  Thanks to the Rotary Clubs of Whitby Sunrise, Oshawa, Port Hope, Bracebridge, Gravenhurst, Scarborough and Toronto, along with hundreds of private donors, we are making a big difference in the lives of thousands.
