Last week me and my host sister Amanda left to go to Paris the same day as her sister Ariela was leaving on her exchange to Canada. The night before she had a going away party and I got to practise my skills (or lack there of) with all of her friends. Lots of them asked me to do their english homework for them, we made a deal that if they bought me gelato i'd do their homework. Except then we realized that i was leaving for Paris the next day so it wouldn't work out. From the exact second we arrived in Paris, we were on the go all the time. In four days this is a list of the things we visited:

ParisThe Notre Dame, The Eiffel tower, The artists Quarter, The Jewish quarter(my host family is jewish), the Moulin Rouge, The champs Elysee, The Grandpalais, St. Mary's church, Another church whose name I forget, The Louvre, little New York and the grand arch, The Villete( museum of modern arts and sciences), Lido show on the Champs Elysee and the museum of Jewish art and history. So I think we actually walked enough kilometers during our stay to equal two marathons each. We were guided on these tours of Paris by my host dads cousin who lives right downtown Paris. We stayed at his house with his wife and his neice. We ate a mixture of french, Jewish,Llebanese and Italian food while we were there. We celebrated the jewish new year as well. I learned alot during my stay and when I came back I was ready to hibernate for a long time.

We arrived home yesterday and celebrated the Jewish New Year with some friends of my host family who were also Jewish. There was a dinner with many different foods that resembled different things. It was very good and I really liked all of the homemade food.

Last night me and Amanda made a plan to wake up at ten and then go jogging in the near by garden, except that Paris took its toll on us and we slept in until a little ast twelve. Then we woke up and realized that we were supposed to go to the synagogue! We ran out to catch the bus but by the time we got there the service was over. So we walked around downtown for a little while and ate some pizza by one of the monuments. And then we shopped for a while. We were so tired from walking so much in the past few days that we had to make a huge effort to even lift our feet off the ground on the way back to the bus. We were downtown until six and then came home. (after of course getting gelato) When we got home we found out that we were going to another dinner at a friends house to celebrate the Jewish new Year a third time! It was very nice. Lots of fresh fruit and homemade things like tabouli, mozzarella and salmon rolls, and apple pie for dessert. It was delicious.
Tomorrow we plan on getting up at ten.. to go jogging
